Hello
I wanted to ask if in some moment of time amiberry was available for Beelink X2
I tried the Github and the Updated Retropie setup but no luck
I am running the 4.2 Slim and in my effort i have updated everything i could find but again nothing.
I even had the Armbian pushed to Stretch although i am pretty sure the upgrade is incomplete.
I think is related to X11 something as i see this as 1st error
gcn::Exception::getMessage[abi:cxx11]() const
I looked through 13 pages of this forum and did not find a solution to the problem with video playback.
But on another forum I found the following:
"However, the MPV player is strange. Probably because I use the TV output instead of hdmi. In short, instead of a picture in the MPV player there is always a black screen (+ sound), and if you work with the --vo = sdl option, there is an image, but then a maximum of 480p "
Please help by entering this parameter in the terminal. Maybe you can solve the problem!
I am loving to play PS1 games on my RS2, however, they run very choppy.
So I thought maybe updating the core might help.
I did that, but it never completed successfully.
And on the retroarch it gave some error messages (screenshots attached - pcsx.err1.jpg & pcsx.err2.jpg).
The emulator still ran, but still same problems.
However, the main Retroarch menu has stopped working (emulationstation -> RetroPie -> Retroarch)
(screenshot attached - retroarch.jpg)
Next, I tried update and upgrade the console from SSH.
The update worked and it told me I can upgrade 20 packages.
So I tried apt upgrade next.
It asked me a bunch of times about what to do when there are conflicts, and I always selected "keep local changes" as I think your image is customised (screenshot attached - conflicts.png).
However, many packages failed to upgrade correctly and now most of my emulators stopped working.
I had to fix this by erasing the card and reflashing the latest image as per last Feb 2020.
I understand that this free software and you have no obligation towards any of us for anything and you are totally busy.
And I completely respect that.
And hence, I can only request for your help.
My request is: even if you are not able to build a new retrorange pi build, atleast please release a build with updated retroarch and updated cores.
And, please make it so that atleast the retroarch builds and cores can be updated by us independently within the retrorangepi OS without having to rely on the overall OS upgrade.
Thank you for all that you do and again, this is just a humble request; no issues whatsoever if you cannot.
Hello guys, greetings from Brazil, all right with you, I hope so.
I'm trying to build a retrogame with orangepi..in a R69 boxtv with H3 processor I'm using the OrangePiPC version ... the best option that started, but it presented some bugs ... suddenly command lines appear in the middle of the execution of the system ... someone having experience with this same hardware ....
The 4.2 image on a OPi zero is perfect for my arcade machine with a good setup for composite/CRT and resolution out of the box, plenty fast enough for the games I want.
However I want to use a USB controller interface, and picked the Xin-Mo 2 player board. It is plugged in and recognised as a USB device, but emulationstation doesn't recognise it, pressing inputs has no effect and it doesn't tell me there is a new controller (I have deleted all controllers in emulation station)
Before I give up and try another controller interface, does anyone have any further references I can try? is there a newer kernel that I can use that may have this module in? (is there a 4.3 build for pi zero to try?)
what I've done so far:
- Checked lsusb - the device definitely exists as 0x16c0:0x05e1
- tried new boot.scr mkimage with usbhid.quirks=0x16c0:0x05e1:0x040
- tried to add usbhid.quirks as a kernel module in /etc/modprobe.d
- tried another usb port, and checked lsusb again (the zero has the expansion board) and it is still there
Device I'm using: Orange Pi Zero (original H2 version) Image: RetrOrangePi_4.2_SLIM_Armbian_5.54_Orangepizero_PAL_Debian_jessie_default_3.4.113
On retrostone1, I am able to boot into pico8 using pico8_dyn, but the gamepad doesn't work.
I have to force restart the console to get into the emulationstation.
Hi everyone, I took an Orange Pi PC and two usb joysticks, I installed Retrorange Pi 4.3, everything went well, but he doesn't see the two joysticks.
I also tried on an Orange Pi Lite with the Retrorange Pi 4.2 version installed, which I have on my bartop, but nothing ... they are not seen.
The same joysticks, however, are recognized by both my PC, a Raspberry 4 B, and a Raspberry 3 B + ....
They are simple generic USB joysticks with analogs, like these
