Orange PI Win PLus - restarting
(11-21-2019, 02:59 PM)alexkidd Wrote: is it inside a case? I wonder if it can be overheat

No . It`s not overheat.
I was tempted to record a movie
my guess is now: resolution. Image is set to 720p by default and your VGA screen is probably not full compliant.
Edit /boot/armbianEnv.txt somewhere else and remove the extraargs line with the resolution. You can test on another TV set to confirm it
Hi First I try in FULL HD TV connect with HDMI, now I swap for Monitor HD.
IS the same.
can`t edit /boot/armbianEnv.txt
Hi guys ! I just tried to install on my board and first restart so many time... So I kept going and it loaded but when I wanted to configure the gamepad it bugged and restarted once again. Three times i went 'til the gamepad configuration but it was a fail attempts. When it checked i've seen [fail] with I guess LSB. Any idea ? Thanks for your great previous job !
Guys, cannot reproduce the bug you're having. The available image from site was once replaced (a couple of months ago already), so if you downloaded on day 1 , download it again.
Download done 2 or 3 days ago. I'm going to try again step by step and maybe put a fan to cool. Many thanks for your support !

I just download the image for OPI win PLUS burn on SD and is restarting
Could You advice where is the problem?

There are some situations where you may face this kind of issue, the main reasons are:

1 - Hardware problem ( could be anything related to the orangepi hardware itself )
2 - Bad quality sdcard, also defective sdcard or sdcard with low read/write capability
3 - Bad image or problem while writing it to the sdcard
4 - Power issue: Try a different power supply ( 5VDC @ 2A ) or cable
- I've saw many boot freezings at different parts of the booting process due to insufficient power
- Make sure you have a good power supply with 5VDC and at least 2A, also make sure you have a good cable and plug
- Sometimes the power supply is beefy enough to power the board but the wires in the cable are too thin, also the plug  could be not making good contact with the wires inside the cable, thus causing insufficient power delivery

*Boot Freezing due to insufficient power isn't only related to retrorangepi images, it will happen in most of the images and the boot process will stop at random places.
Did you try with Armbian?
I have similar issues... but also armbian doesn't work... Seems the board faulty... but strange that more people have same fault...

today i tested Armbian_19.11.6_Orangepiwin_buster_current_5.4.7_desktop
and works fine several GCC compiles
I saw that the maximum clock allowed is 1.01...
i remember that the clock should be higher... but if they lowered to 1.01ghz maybe there are problems..>
this evening i will test the other armbian Armbian_19.11.6_Orangepiwin_bionic_current_5.4.7 and i will update.
retrorange pi image still reboot.
