Hi
Can anyone give me some advice? I have rom images for each respective rom folders and I named it as image on the folder. I put the rom image folder in each rom example rom/nes/image. The screenshot image didn’t show up on each title as I browse through.. even I restart the retrostone 2. Did I do something wrong? I need advice.. please help ?

@blazouf IIRC, scrapers will redownload the images all over again. He probably just need a XML file to match the paths.

if you set the system to "search for box art locally" and have a folder
gba/game_name.gba
gba/images/game_name-image.gba
It automatically links together for me (just the cover art - if you use a scrapper, it downloads reviews and descriptions and things, but I renamed my rom files so nothing is scrapped)

The scraper has come along way since I used it a couple of years ago, but how it determines what games it detects is still magic. Used to be the game had to match a specific dumps, CRC and you had to sacrifice an Atari controller. There are some ways to make it easier before taking extreme measures. Editing the name in the meta screen does no good. You have to rename the rom.
*Rename the roms to match the title of the game.
Example 1: Aburner2.zip to Afterburner 2.zip
Example 2: Legend of Zelda, The.zip to The Legend of Zelda.zip
*Remove special characters (_&",'*)
Example 1: Streets_of_Rage.zip to Streets of Rage.zip
Example 2: Galaga '90.zip to Galaga 90.zip
If everything fails and you just want to add an image to the game, you can do that manually (you will need a keyboard). Download whatever image you want. Convert it to .png (if it is not already). Name the image that is easy to remember. Traditionally, -image is placed after the image name, but it's not needed. Place the image in the rom folder where the game is located (this is the most simple location but you can put them anywhere). Go to the game and press the select button. Select Edit This Games Meta Data. Select Image. Type: /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/[system]/[game name].png press Enter. Select Ok. Then scroll down and save. Remember Linux is case sensitive.
Example: /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/megadrive/abc.png
