HDMI RetrOrangePi working but not Retroarch
#1
Hello.
I just received my Zeuslap portable screen. I have a problem with the HDMI output.
I applied the latest V3 update.
The HDMI script works, and i can boot to EmulationStation.
But when I launch RetroArch, the external screen goes black but I can hear the sound of the game.
My screen went well in 720p 60hz.
Should I force the HDMI output in retroarch.cfg ? ( Video_monitor_index = '1' )
But in this case, the internal screen will no longer work when the Retroarch is in nomadic mode without an external HDMI screen.
How to do ?

EDIT : It works with others core like SuperNintendo or PCEngine, but not with Mame or FBA. So i have to investigate more..

SOLUTION: Ok, in fact, for some reasons, the FBA and MAME core had a resolution of 640 x 480.
I think my screen can't output to this resolution. So i change it to 1280 x 720 and.. voila ! It works !

Sorry for the wrong alert..

OK, anyway, our script is set to switch back to LCD and shutdown when no HDMI is detected, so next time you power on it will land on LCD again

OK.
One more question :
is it possible to update to the last version of RetroArch (1.8.6), or is it more safe to wait for futurs update of RetrOranPie ?

some Retroarch dependencies (basically EGL and GLES libraries) are blocked to avoid compatibility issues, so updating would not work .
It's safer to wait upcoming release, Retroarch 1.8.6 is already working on our tests.

In fact it's not solve..
I've change the resolution to 1280 x 720 for FBA and mame, but now i can't use the Retrostone in handeled mode for theses core.
Retroarch lauch and quit.. Same probleme as before, but reverse..

change it back to 640x480 manually until we find a better solution

Okay..
But I do not understand how do the others to alternate between the two uses ?
My portable screen is brand new with USB-C and HDMI :

What settings should I put?

Here is my configuration:

custom_viewport_height = "720"
custom_viewport_width = "1280"
video_fullscreen_x = "1280"
video_fullscreen_y = "720"
video_windowed_position_height = "1280"
video_windowed_position_width = "720"

Arcade / retroarch.cfg
custom_viewport_height = "480"
custom_viewport_width = "640"
video_fullscreen_x = "1280"
video_fullscreen_y = "720"
video_windowed_position_height = "640"
video_windowed_position_width = "480"

fba / retroarch.cfg
custom_viewport_height = "480"
custom_viewport_width = "640"
video_windowed_position_height = "640"
video_windowed_position_width = "480"
video_windowed_position_height = "640"
video_windowed_position_width = "480"

It's normal, it's because i play in Tate mode for the Shmups (FBA and Arcade).
I've put a rotation parameter :

video_rotation = "1"
video_allow_rotate = "true"
